Dean Baldwin Venice Biennale and Reverse Pedagogy Season 2

This Spring in Venice, Italy, Dean Baldwin will be directing Reverse Pedagogy 2. This is the second part of an artist residency started by Paul Butler and originally held at The Banff Centre in Alberta. A nomadic art school, whose curriculum focuses on extracurricular activities, will see 24 participants sleeping in tents inside of a 16th century palazzo (see website photos), travelling around the city canals in canoes, making collective work, holding cocktail parties, and various other unknown shenanigans.

Read more about the Part One of the residency here in an interview with all the artists that took part.

Also in Venice, following the Canada Pavilion opening celebrations, Dean Baldwin's "The Algonquin Tiki Tiki Hut" will be installed at the Rialto Pescheria (Rialto Fish Market) on Thursday, June 4th, 8pm for the Canada Party. Invitations Required.

In addition, Dean will be participating in a Canada Council International Residency in London, UK, at Space Studios, Hackney.
