Eris Doeringer- Critics Pick in New York Magazine!

The ever-intrepid Eric Doeringer is the best of the many post-appropriation artists out there, the master of covering, replicating, or remaking the art of more famous people. his full-scale versions of works by Damien Hirst, John Baldessari, Sol LeWitt, Ed Ruscha, Richard Prince (already an appropriator!), and On Kawara, echo the ideas, ambitions, insanity, and unruliness of the originals, making concentrated objects that are powerful stand-alone artworks unto themselves. A true pirate-prince. Oh, and don't miss his great Matthew Barney "fan site" at cremasterfanatic.com
